drum brakes were only on the early 1200 sedans (ie 1970-1972 or there abouts) the 1973-1974 ones had discs AFAIK

110 disc brakes are shit, the drums are even shittier....

S13 255mm brake upgrade is not expensive at all, $50 for adaptor plates, maybe $50-100 for discs & callipers & pads. and a wee bit for some minor machining & longer studs & bolts etc. I am running mine with original sized master cylinder. really quite an easy upgrade, and if you are looking at maybe $200-300 all up it is a cost effective upgrade.

Dont scrimp on tyres & brakes! thats what my old school boy racer uncle always told me when it comes to cars

Iv got some old s13 brakes laying around but don't think they will work with my wheels. Ill need some disc brake struts to start with tho.

I only run an A12, and Std disc brakes, don't ask Bart his opinion of them, but I think Kitch described them well :P They are fine around town, but out on the open road they do not inspire.

When you're pegged off the clock, the standard brakes can haul you down once. The second time they might stop you. The third time, they'll smell so hot it'll make your eyes water.
1200/120Y disc brake struts take S13 brakes with ease. Problem solved.

I'm getting a set of sunny struts this weekend I don't think my wheels will clear s13 brakes they rub on the r30 struts i have to run spacers

Just cos R30's don't fit, doesn't mean S13 wont.
