Post by sunny79datto »

as per title i have mice poo in my car.. it happend a few months ago the mice had came into the garage got into my flatm8s dog food and also sht all thru my datsun. that was alright vacumend it up and went for a drive..
since then we got some poision and killed them.. i havent used my car in awhile because have a workvan and mrz car. went to use it the other day and it wouldnt start so got a new 2nd hand battery charged that and put it in.. dash lights dont work or headlights but parklights do.
didnt have any ign light or anything the alarm was playing up so thought could be that.
got a new battery for alarm remote. and went to have anougher go 2day to find more mice poo in their and now car wont do anything at all!
no dash lights no headlights rear lights nothing.
i have a clamp meter that can also use as a multi meter has ohms and dc volts. i have looked around all the wiring and cant find anything obviouse at all, just wondering if anyone would know where to stat looking? or tips on what to do to track it down. thanks guys

There are serious car mouse problems in rural areas. Easiest solution that I found was to put the car up on jackstands with inverted pie tins at the top of each jackstand. then remove the wheels so the mice cant climb them.

Mice eat the insulation from wiring, with so much failed, it may be around the fuzes, perhaps they just peed on the connections there and caused corrosion.
