Re: Datsun 1200 radiator wanted
If you're going to spend the money having one recored, I'd suggest starting with an A15 sunny, or perhaps a C20 vannette one. They may not be a direct bolt in, but they offer superior cooling in case you upgrade your motor in the future.
If you plan to keep you car as it was when you bought it, then the stock one will cope. But should you find the need to fit a larger engine, or supe up the engine that's in it now, the standard radiator might struggle to handle the jandal.
I guess its up to you if you want to "improve" such an original old example.

They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

I triple cored my standard/factory 1200 radiator, and I'm running an A15. Does the trick fine if your staying A12 or moving up to an A15, otherwise I'm with Bart, upgrade now if you plan on a more modern engine down the track

Re: Datsun 1200 radiator wanted
thanks Bart , Nick and Kitch for the replys , Jess is thinking that she will be going down the track of putting an A14 or 15 in. we have used those race civic alloy radiators before in other cars and are similar core size to the standard but 3 core. are around the 150 dollar mark plus few bucks for welding brackets on. so think will look into one of them seeing as the factory ones wont be upto it.
thanks for help

Richie
You can get aftermarket alloy 3 core ones, that are designed for 1200's.
I too originally was intending on doing the civic spec thing, but came across
the 1200 spec one. for around $420 delivered.
