The later 620's had ball joints instead of king pins.
Make everything MUCH easier.

Just trying to get it back on the road its a bit effy after previous owner atm,

but ill have a look at costs to convert over to ball joint, definitely much easier to do(replace), i could do them asleep.
Also need to think about how far i wanna go with the ute mods wise, as i have a full blown road legal race Vr6 VW in the build

IF you fit top and bottom arms from a later model 620, (With ball jonts) then you can swap Navara disc brake stub axles straight on. (Bolts together)
TBH,
I wouldn't bother spending any energy on the king pins.
BUT, if you do need to patch them up a bit, I have heard of one dodgy quick fix.
Remove the grease nipple, (If they even have one?) and reinstall it with a ball bearing underneath it. The nipple will press down on the ball bearing, which takes out the slop.
I'm likely going to have some spare king pin front end pretty soon that I wont be needing. It'd be for sale most probably.
Start a build thread for you truck!

Got the set now, too much play for something like that, but I wouldnt do anyways. Quick backyard fixes is why the truck is in the state it is now.

Hedgehog welds, bird splater welds in structural areas. Collapsed shocks to name a couple. In a vechicle that is suposed to be brand spankers new WoF Fit.

Ive laid a complaint with nzta over the complete and utter disregard the Wof shop has, and hopefully theyll lose their licence to do Wofs till they prove they are fit.

I'm getting another 620 tomorrow.
If you need any parts from the front end, give me a whistle. I don't need any of the king pin bits etc

Cheers,

broke the thread part of the cotter pin off, which is a bugger, so decided smack the sod harder to get the bugger out but still not luck, must be rusted in.

Once I do get the thing out, any reason I cant replace with some bushes and a HT bolt like the top LCA
