changed the old rusty front indicator lights to new ones ... prob is its going from 3 wires to 2.
What do I do?

The fronts are park lights too aren't they?

Yeah they are

Taiwanese lights.
The extra wire could be the earth?

I tried to follow the wires back but they go into the main cable ... didn't want to inspect to much further but will just get a volt meter and trial something that way.

Yep. Third wire will be earth

So I did some wire searching etc and found the indicator and park light wires and the third which goes all the way back into the firewall ... Going to just remove this wire completely or will this affect the system/circuit?
Do I need to loop this earth wire with any of the others?

Update: each earth from both sides are linked together and go all the way back to the connection inside the firewall. I'm tempted to remove completely as I see no reason to keep...?
Have found and replaced a melted connection at the firewall too.

main lights wont turn off

Earth the earth wire, dont remove it.
Change as little as possible to prevent creating issues.
