Hi all first post. Usually hang out on Old School. this is now with me in Nelson. As far as I know was put together by Brocky in CHCH and then sold on to James in hamilton.
I was shit scared it was going to be a dead set rot box. But it's in really good order. With just the odd bit of TLC to sort. Credit to all who have had input into this car.
It's full of cavity wax and shows it has really been loved.
I'm really after some old school wheels wheels but I might have to head to Hayashi direct
and / or
if I can find some tripple webers /carbs
any help and id be stoked.
But apart from that it's just going to be a old school cruiser. Not going to JDM it to hard.
EDIT: need to take my own photos and not use past owners.

Re: scooters 260C H330
I had a bit of expensive miss adventure over the last week or 2.
I decided to try run my trigger on a low ohm coil and get rid of the ballast.
It had poor spark I took some measurements and found I was 2.4v down from batt voltage over to my ballast high. So to cure that I put a relay in to drag a +12 over to coil + and give it full hit.
Turns out the lumintronic needs 3 ohms or resistance. and I put 12 v down the trigger line that was ment to be coil -
derp.
So here I am back to square one with some new wiring and a relay added that now pulls +12 back to ballast high.
the lumentronic has a optic trigger in the dizzy I baked that too..
There goes the best part of $500
lesson learned

260 has done a few thousand shake down it's been a pleasure to drive.
Could not make it to datto nats
But it wont sort itself out so into it next stage.
time for some photos.
I found some wheels had pine engineering do them up.
The whole process is to get them on.
Last few days the diff is out and it's time to tidy up the ass end from 40 odd years of motoring.
More wire wheel and PA 10 action.
A bit of rust action to sort out too.

Please tell me you dont need to flare the rear guards to fit those
You might want to start treating that rust in the bonnet - so hard to get one in even that condition now.
Good work on getting the diff out, nice to see some updates

Nah they are the wheels that come off another H330 Don't even think lip roll is needed.
Re: scooters 260C H330
The bonnet scares me a bit. It's got rolls and shaped I can't do a whole front clip left to right so is this a ok means to repair?
It looks a bit cookie cutter to me. But if anyone who deals in rust can chime in id be stoked.
example of what I intend to do ..
