Could anyone tell me if this thread unscrews from the arm or slides out??? This is the only thing im stuck on, the ball joint is a 3 bolt type, do I need to get this pressed out or what? There was a nut on top with a split pin and I removed them but it wont pull out (im guessing its like a tie rod where it just pulls out???)

Pressed out is the way, or a ball joint splitter. it is just locked on by way of a taper.

pressing it out is the prefered way you can put the nut back on at the top of the thread and give it a whack with the hammer be careful tho
if you can get it the two peices out i'll press them out at work for ya
then once your've got it out go and get a new one from super cheap on colombo that where i got mine from good guys too.

Put the balljoint bit in a vice and smack the crap outta the other arm bit with the hammer... in the direction of it coming off of course. best to hammer kinda toward yourself (dangerous but meh) and kinda pull on the arm bit where it bolts to the tie rod.
Well thats how i do it when i dont have access to pro tools lol. And CRC soaking overnight is also your friend haha

bolt the steering arm back onto the strut, get two hammers, and beat it on both sides at the same time. The ball joint taper is locked into the taper in the steering arm. When you hit it on both sides similtaneously in the instant the tapered hole in the steering arm deforms just a wee bit for just that moment. In that instant it will eject the ball joint. Easy peasy lemon squeezey.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
