Re: Garth's FJ20ET GB120 Ute
seems to be a common problem amoungst datsun owners...
Re: Garth's FJ20ET GB120 Ute
pleased those plates help mate, a bit sad for another datsun to bite the dust though. I might have some original paperwork for that ute somewhere too
Re: Garth's FJ20ET GB120 Ute
hopefully i can make my one good enough to be worth the life of another datsun haha. that would be great if you manage to come across those!
Re: Garth's FJ20ET GB120 Ute
Anyone have any tips on removing the diff head? I have removed both axels and have undone all the bolts I can find that connect the diff head to the diff but still no go? Am i missing something or do I need to find a bigger smacking stick?

Re: Garth's FJ20ET GB120 Ute
double check you have got all the bolts just to be sure, as i always miss a bolt somewhere. i would say its been removed before and someones overused rtv when reassembling it. you may just need a little force to loosen it, or carefully use a small screw driver and hammer between the head and housing just to brake the seal. be careful not to damage either of them though
