Re: PERTRONIX IGNITION - IN A SERRIES INSTALLED AN NOT WORKI
is your tacho a factory one? Or after market? Most aftermarket ones use a feed from the neg terminal of the coil. he factory ones use the "loop" feed style. If by installing this kit you're disconecting that factory loop, it'll never go. (Kinda hard to say without seeing it.

yea but only added the red wire from the pertronix to the igniton side of it. because thats what the instructions say to do apart from that all the factory wires are in the same place attached to what their ment to be

Andrew,
We are familiar with a shift light on factory datsun tachometers. Does your tachometer hook to coil negative or coil positive? I think positive but I want to be sure.

Re: PERTRONIX IGNITION - IN A SERRIES INSTALLED AN NOT WORKI
sorted it.. whata drama tho gf went to take it out friday nite an had to go save her keept dying because battery wasnt charging..(shouldnt have taken it out) ended up towing it home.. but yesterday found a fuse was blown the engine control fuse. so replaced that put battery on charge was reading round 12 to 13 then when running reads 14ish so that means its charging right? now the only problem is my rev counter not working.. can anyone help me on that. please
