Thanks for explaining that Bart, you were rambling on topic so it's all good :lol:

I think it's about time I got some circlip pliers so that's no biggie.

My manual is a Haynes one as well, it's been very helpful to have so far. I'll try taking it apart when I get the time and I'll see what I find.

Also the ute that the gearbox was in got written off, so I'm wondering if maybe the impact of the crash damaged something inside it? I guess I'll find out when I open it up ;)

Take your time with it, and be methodical. you'll need to adhere to what the book says to get the tail housing back on with the striker finger properly engaged.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
