since the 09 rakaia cruise and fresh lack of gf, motivation has been on an all time high, so theres nothing better than getting stuck into my neglected sr20 510!!!
owned for 6years with bugger all work done on it, now is the time to make it happen.
this is how the car currently looks.

Re: mint16's 510
last night i removed the rear arms, found two different rear springs which is the answer to the rear sagged on one side, one rear arm bumpstop missing, one gas shock and one factory oil shock. christ, i really havent touched this car since i bought it!!! stripped arms ready for stub axle removal and r31 disc brake conversion.
today during work hours, i pressed out the stub axles, without damaging the axle nut threads
tonight i removed the diff and crossmember, as well as the 120y floor handbrake i had installed (which will no longer be used).
tomorrow during work hours ill remove the bearings from the rear arms, might even push out the rear arm bushes too, and remove the companion flanges from my s12 rear arms for the cv axle conversion.
shane 510BRE is currently scalloping my crossmember for an r200 longnose fitment, hes already enlarged the exhaust hole to 4inchs, thanks dude!!
not too distant future progress:
-complete r31 rear disc conversion
-make rear crossmember adjustable
-modify 1600 moustache bar to accommodate r200 longnose
-fit reversed 69 front crossmember in place of reversed 70 crossmember
-fit 1600 steering box/column in place of 180b steering box + column
-fit r31 front struts with cusco camber plates and adjustable platform suspension
-mount sr20 longblock properly with modified s13 engine brackets and 1600 engine mounts
-mount gearbox and modify 1600 crossmember

Re: mint16's 510
update time:
gave up on the idea of modifying gtir pulsar quad throttle bodies to suit my s14 sr20de.
lucky chance i stumbled across a set of barely used ikeya formula 4 throttles!!! may be the only set in nz.....
they are a direct bolt on, which makes life a lot easier. they did come at a price tho, but well worth it.
will be running gtir sr20det 440cc top feed injectors on the ikeya fuel rail.
very short distance between valves and throttle butterflies, so am hoping to fit some longish trumpets to give it that oldschool look and sound!!
stoked to have these 4 throttles, my sr20 build just got serious.
and with the plenum:
also picked up a set of barely used tomei rocker arm stoppers. the sr20 may end up with a lot more tomei ingredients!!!

Re: mint16's 510
making an adapter plate to bolt them up to the inlet manifold stud pattern.
then there would be issues with the injector position being wrong, wont be angled directly at the valve.
the gtir throttles would look a bit weird too, as they step down lower than the inlet ports on the head.
theres potential for ongoing issues, but its all unknown.
im just really lucky to have sourced a bolt on option, with the only modification being a bracket ill need to fabricate for mounting the throttle cable pivot/linkage etc.

Re: mint16's 510
sounds like you are lucky man, would the gtir throttles and manifold not bolt up to the rwd head. i thought that would have worked?

Re: mint16's 510
stud pattern is different. gtir quad throttles bolt up to p11 primera sr20s no probs.
they would be a cool on an sr16ve that had a single 70mm tb.
