To make one work with a Link all you need to do is replace the chopper plate with one out of a VG30E or RB20/30E.

I cut the part the rotor attaches to down and blocked up the hole in the plate covering the chopper plate so I could run mine without a cap.

If you want an optical dizzy you are going to need the shaft to suit as well.

Yeap, it's splined on the top for a more postive drive.

This is an optical dizzy.

There is also this odd ball one that also takes a screw on cap but still has a hall effect sensor in it from memory, can't remember where I got it from.

hmm....interesting.
those pics are good thanks!
So I'll need a dizzy and a shaft......hopefully the shaft fits into a L4 lol.....if not, could always get that end drive chopped of and somehow fitted to a L4 shaft.

Do you have a shaft out of an engine?

Yeah I've got the one that came out of my motor around somewhere, if the normal L4 & L6 shafts interchange it'll fit.

I've heard FJ20 dizzy internals are very similar, you could probably replace the chopper plate with one of those and it might work?
