I had a Bias Valve in the back of the Z, it was fitted before the line split Left and right, tucked up in the wheel arch / drive tunnel area. Just fits in the line and reduces the pressure available to the rear brakes. If you are getting a competition licence and are going to do some events in the car you may be able to get an authority card to have one inside.

So you've changed brake types, now has the front brakes are locking up well before the rears come into play. How can this be cured?
There are options for changing the brake bias:
Change rear brake wheel cylinders (larger or smaller). Alternate sizes are available from Nissan motorsports. Or from stock applications. For example, the 510 rear cylinders are 7/8, but bolt in place of the stock 1200 13/16 cylinders. Note that 1200s with drum brakes already have 7/8 rears.
Use an appropriate factory bias valve (aka NP-valve or "proportioning valve"). Note that Datsun 1200s don't use one, while B210 and B310 NP-valves are not part of the brake line "splitter" (brake line warning switch)
Maybe the easiest would be to buy a brake bias controller valve.[/i][/b][/b][/b]
(This is me back again) with the 13/16th rear wheel cylinders in ute diff you should be ok??

Thanks for the research Grant.
Might be a bit of a case of "suck it and see"
with all new master cylinder, new lines throughout, S13 front end conversion etc
it is going to be a "new" system anyway, and will just have to see how it goes.
At least I can retrofit the bias valve later

Pretty exciting day for me, finally got the coupe home after 10 months.
The last things I had to do, was fit the new brake & fuel lines assemble all the rear end up, and fit the new panhard rod mounts to the axle and the body. Clean down, fit wheels etc, realign & trim U-boltd, and undertake the challenging mission of getting it off the rotisserie and back on to the ground/trailer.
My boy Will was stoked to see the coupe back home
(don’t worry child welfare he is holding my beer not his!)

40mm lowering blocks, new U-bolts, new nolethanes, reset leafs, New Koni’s
