I remember a while back when I dropped my reconditioned A15 in my car.
had same prob fuel to the pump, and not to the carb, and near deaded the battery trying to get it to work.
I even wasted half an hour swapping out the fuel pump, in the end I just put the jumper leads on my work car, and cranked and cranked for about 5 minutes. and away she went, it just took an eternity to prime and then fill the bowls as it turned out, as carbs and fuel lines were all dry.

Have you tried manually priming the carbs, by removing the tops and filling them this way, then firing the engine so with more revs the pump can continue to supply. My experience with A series mech pumps is that them cannot match Dellortos for their ability to move fuel. Fit an electric pump and solve your problems is my advice.

Thought i might finally do an update on the build, the first thing on the agenda was to fix the rust in the engine bay, i felt it pointless not to do it properly so i stripped the engine bay out to re-spray it at the same time, back to factory red off course. Once it was all back together i dropped it off to get the carbs tuned up. Before pulling it apart the a15 still wasn't idleing on all cylinders but i thought the tune up would fix this, turns out that wasn't the problem, have set all the valve clearances, new plugs leads etc but still nothing, it's just fowling up one plug. I took it for a drive up the road and at about 6-7k rpm quite abit of black smoke is pouring out. Compression on that cylinders fine, an oil ring maby??

Other than that have done a wee bit of pannel beating and replaced all the aftermarket door trims with factory ones, just doing wee jobs untill the time comes to restore it fully.

Anyway
