An insurance broker? Or an accessor?
The club is working on a deal with Swann insurance.

Hes and insurance valuator for the insurance company. But he is just a car sales dealer. (not a classic expert).

Id also be very intersted to know how this goes for my own sake to. Just so we all clear i wasn't trying to be a dick i was just thinking about what i have seen on trademe in the last few years in various conditions.

There is two ways to look at it.
Replacement value. Yip would be way higher than 4 grand i have no doubt about that plus it would take ages to find a 140j in that condition to begin with.

Or resale value which ok maybe 4 grand was a little light maybe a bit more.

Im not to sure what insurance company's work off,

I just wouldn't like to be paying premiums on a $20,000 car then say it get stolen and they turn round and say. Hey well actually the resale value of that car going by previous sales of other 140js over the last 12months = $6 grand.

I haven't even thought of insurance yet wanna get the thing to move under its own steam first.
