na not much at all, like it was painted a good 5 years ago now and the only bubbles have come through are in the bottoms of the front guards and below the tail lights. allthough theres bound to be some little bits brewing away here and there that hasnt show itself yet but as the other saying goes..ill cross that bridge when i get to it. im just glad i know how to patch rust now days so it isnt a drama to sort out. the next mission will be too drop the subframe out and replace all the cv boots, re-grease cvs, strip the R200s sometimes VLSD and replace centre with something mechanical, do you know if GTR r200 diffs are any good? like as good or close to a 2way mechanical?

Just the standard place then. Its strange that the rust around the tail lights. Ive seen a few blow out there.

Not a clue dude, But i would just bite the bullet and go Mech anyway. if its just for Heli's you would be better to

I've heard that the GTR CLSD's use a unique input shaft spline. So if you got one of those, you'd need the input shafts to match too.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

I Purchased the guts of a GTR R200 CLSD for the clutch plates

If its from an R32 GTR i can confirm the following

These are 2 ways units with symmetrical ramp angles
The Clutch Plates and other replacement parts are compatible with the older R200 LSD's
The Splines count is different to the typical 29 Spline used on Nissan input shafts

As far as i can tell the guts of the R32 GTR lsd is identical to the older DR30/Z31/early style R200 style CLSD
the only difference I am aware of is the Side gears are definitely a different spline

I sighted all of these changes when building my CLSD, the only part of the GTR lsd i did not see is the housing as i used an LOM59 housing which is from god knows what.
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30

This sounds like it's all coming together for you Dan, would be great to see it at Ruapuna for the track day.

yeah i really need to get stuck into the front end before it goes near a track, need to work out what the best coilover/adjustible setup will be for the front. not to phased about the rear end at the mo as it corners and slides well as it is

Also scored some nice cheap 14x8 and 14x7.5 type A SSR long champs the other day. Fairly good nick other than the paint thats been sprayed on the centres and the horrible tyres that are on them, they even still have stickers on the backs with sizes etc.
