I couldnt recomend enough NOT to go to Diggers Brakes and cables. Both times ive been there for cables. they have taken a fortnight to do and cost double what they estimated. And they were simple shortening of scooter throttle cables.

I went to Safe R Brakes on fitz . dropped of Andy gals cable and said replicated this. Bang that day $30. so stoked.

Sweet cheers for that chris. Much appreciated.

Here are some pics of me playing around with some spray cans...its not going to be black when it gets property painted but i just thought i would make it look better until I have money for proper panel and paint. Dont be miss lead if the paint job looks ok in the photos..I can assure you that this was painted by Garth Customs and is of terrible quality haha

They sure are!
I was at the drags once, and a CA18DET+nitrous KP61 starlet blew a tailshaft uni. I don't recall if it had a loop or not, but it made a hell of a mess of the tunnel/tailhousing of the gearbox.
I'm actually glad it's a cert requirement.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

List slowly getting smaller:

have got driveshaft in getting sorted at the moment

throttle cable in getting sorted at safe r brakes at the moment

plan is to take the car around to Nicks next saturday and we plan on getting the radiator in and mounted that day.

so only things left then will be:
exhaust
brakes
driveshaft loop
clutch

pushing very hard to get it ready..really hope i make it. no hassling my average paint job if i do make it...(my excuse is im trying to set myself up for most improved next year or something :? )

no way you can be dissed on the paint job with that motor combo in it, and yeah will put you in the running for most improved like you say.

May have made some nice progress yesterday so picks to come on that..thanks Nick
Still to go:
Exhaust
Brakes/Clutch line
driveshaft loop

money is the only thing from stopping this being ready for akaroa....still trying very hard though.

After a cheap but reasonably decent exhaust, Nick mentioned some place in hornby that do a good price exhaust that a few people on here have used? Anyone got more details?
