very nice, are you still allowed to run rose joints? Hope so, one day I want to put mine back on the road, with spherical joints.

I never knew you weren't allowed to run them? Shane's BRE car has them

I have never done research, was told, (Old story) the rules changed, others on here might know, that solid joints are out now. That was some time ago, sorry, hope I am wrong, cause I would like to use mine too.

I skim Read that document i attached.

from what i understand if you pass an NDT test and the certifier is happy with the parts then there is nothing to worry about

Edit > reading a little more of that document it states that any rod ends/spherical bearings only need to comply with Hobby Car Technical Manual requirements. I suppose every Certifier would need to hold a copy of it.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I have it.
Cletus at OS has been asked by a datto guy off here (Can't think of his username ATM though, and too lazy to check) about this just this week.
He said thry can't be brass lined, and aren't allowed to taper down smaller than the diameter of the thread.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

No it's good to know, I'm pretty sure ours aren't brass lined. Will have to talk to a certifier once they get here

Hey Dan i was told the law had changed with coil over shocks but when i got the blue car certed he didn't even say anything about it.
I think its the old hearsay coming into play anything can be put on the 140 just as long as its safe ill be doing rose joints as soon as i start racing again.
