Fuel system all connected up @ front end & throttle bodies installed.
I have spent a few hours today doing wiring, I quite enjoy this work,
but it is very time consuming, took me about 3 hours to do one run,
which had the injectors, TPS, temp sensor, VR signal. but I have
done a reasonable job, all joints are soldered properly, heat shrunk,
insulation taped, and cable eater fitted round the outside.

My next load of acoustic dampening materials arrived, man it is
heavy!!! each sheet 1.35m x 1.6m weighs around 10kg! I have
2x sheets to fit, it is quite difficult to work with, but it is great
stuff, I think it will make it a huge difference to the quietness
when I eventually get this up and running. basically a half sheet
fitted to do rear passenger floor area, will do front floor and
firewall, and probably boot space as well. This product is
Pyrotek brand, and is a composite system, and it is a layer of
4kg/m2 mass loaded vinyl, over a 6mm foam decoupler layer.
it also has a thin fireproof/insulating foil backing.

I have a solution to your high valve lift / no clearance problem. Buy a Tomei alloy cover - problem solved :)

Well , if you can find one / afford one.

Can't wait to see this in the flesh one day.

I had a mate that was pretty old school - he cut and welded two rocker covers together making it about an inch higher overall - worked well - he ground it up filed etc and it looked factory till you put it next to a standard one = Cheap fix

Yip back in the day we have huge valve lift and welded a customer 15mm strip around
the guts of the rocket cover, worked a treat and you'd never know.

What about getting somebody to water jet out an alloy spacer?

I have heard of this frequently for lots of other makes having similar problems.

this is what i mean.
