make sure you buy wheels without tyres!
Brendan bought a couple sets from Japan, and one set cost HEAPS more in freight due to the wieght of the tyres/air in them.
Think its around $400 for a set of mags shipped from Tokyo to Christchurch, delivered to your door. takes around 1-2weeks

Not always true, if you just get them shipped seperatly this is the case, but if you talk to the right people you can often get onto a van or car coming over that you can get your wheels shipped inside. I know of a few sets that came over recently and it was ~100 per set for shipping. even the ones with tyres.

When filled with drugs, im pretty sure the tire freight would be insignificant.

yeah, that depends on if you know someone that can buy stuff in Japan for you, and also if they can organise freight for you.

If you get them shipped without the help of a mate who also happens to be shipping something over.....then the price is around what I said
