As long as you are stamping original numbers on them, and they are for a restoration
not some dodgey car conversion you should be sweet, I have sold maybe 30 odd
tags into NZ and Australia, and not heard of any problems.

A reproduced item, at least is legiable, where as a lot of original ones, you can't read
however I would be keeping the old one as 'proof' if you can.

I have seen modified ones, that have the engine details changed to match up
with repower (ie CA engine numbers on a B110) but think this then becomes a form
of customised aesthetic detail, rather than a legal ID plate

this is my GB120 plates I have

Aparently all you need on the firewall is the chassis number - ive seen some 1200's with a vin looking long skinny one with a home done stamp up and they still go through warrants with ease.

Im keen for one too pm sent

Heres a long overdue update... lol

So the whole drivers side is stripped back to bare metal and covered in rust converter/primer

I've started stripping front end and engine bay slowly
Found a bit of cheese in there....

My GF Nicole seems to love the paintstripper! She's been hacking away at the mixture of paint and cheese on the tailgate/rear end
tmp_20131105_170558-1592687295.jpg
Also her olds used to have a 75' 180b, so she loves dattos and wants a 180b!
I think im I've got a KEEPER!!

Ive decided that I will run the SSS 180b front struts and hubs/brakes and rebuild and run the L20b out of 'Annie'
So I'll be asking for help on what I need done for mounts and drive shaft, and do I need to modify the tunnel for the box?

On another note, I've got a rear boot spoiler of a ST162 celica gt-r that im going to modify and use as a front lip
I don't wamt to use the all too common generic front lip/airdams that EVERYONE has (no offense to anyone who has them)
Hers a few pics of that

Now I have an idea for a washer bottle (as mine only had the universal hanging bag) What do you think of making a permanent container in the battery support with the filler hanging out towards the strut tower?
Ill have the motor mounted in it etc all nice and hidden.

Hey, you dont need a window washer to get a wof, I would just ditch it.
If you do want to keep it though, get a bottle type one as it will look heaps tidier than a bag ;)

I think you do need one if originally fitted, bags are cool, but so are custom ones esp. under the Battery etc

Well I definitely want one, qmd I think the old bag type it came with will just hack through the fresh paint... so custom hidden one seems like a go to me

So I now have a new tailgate thanks to kevin.
2014-06-12 18.06.26.jpg
I also scored some aero bonnet latches for extra cheap through work. (Ordered in normal aero latches, and suppliers sent us locking ones at the non-locking price)
the customer didn't want locking ones (Even tho you don't have to use the key to use em..)

Anyway,
Yesterday we gutted the interior so the body deadner can be removed pre rust removal.

There was a few gremlins to be found, but not as bad as I expected... :dance2:

Having a pack of papers fallout of the dash behind the speedo etc while your pulling it apart was a first....

More to come.

Yeah man will do soon dw.
I've been recommended by a friend, to chuck in blocks and remove hte front springs to make sure i have clearance if i ever decide to 'slam' the ute lol. just to keep it from rubbing in the rear etc if i fully load the deck (which with my track history of moving house...) could be a good idea!
