Lol the amount of money spent on polishing that would be horrendous. However if you want it zinc plated.... let me know

Re: Datsun 260c
On Saturday I picked up an L28 piston and conrod as my engine builder wanted to compare them with my pistons and conrod combo I have.It turns out to be the L28 flat top type and he can get 5 more.So if I can get them I could save my self a hole lot of money by popping them into the L28 I have.Or i could stroke out the original (matching numbers to car) L26 to a L28 keeping it all original,Or just doing the L28 stroker.Any thoughts on what you guys think

Re: Datsun 260c
I'm now thinking stroking out the L26 to an L28 for the 260c and stroking out the L28 to a L31 keeping the motor until I buy an 240z.I like my style of thinking...NICE

Re: Datsun 260c
So today I dropped off my piston/conrods to get checked over. Looks to be all go, Sadly I won't be able to stroke out the L26 to an L28 as doing so would leave only 2mm between the bore and the water jacket.

So you can't spin the crank in the Block or you can't bore it far enough?rblover wrote:So today I dropped off my piston/conrods to get checked over. Looks to be all go, Sadly I won't be able to stroke out the L26 to an L28 as doing so would leave only 2mm between the bore and the water jacket.
It's a build that I am interested in.
