Re: Datsun 260c
Hi guys, Today I was adjusting the valve lash on the L28 as I turned the crank over the engine stopped dead on the tracks, I thought why the f@ck did that happen? I had already set the timing bang on (so I thought) Did I use the wrong crank pulley? Checked my L26 motor and sure enough I had. Swap them around and redid the timing, Now the turns freely...... Finished off the valve lash, I will most likely fit the motor in to the car tomorrow.

I haven't sold any of my cars (I'm finding them to hard to let go ) I've have just brought a 1991 N14 pulsar as a cheap run around, Its got the SR18 and is manual so I'm happy.

Re: Datsun 260c
Well today I got off my ass and welded up the steering. After doing the power steering upgrade the car sorted just drifted where ever it felt. Hopefully that's fixed now and I did a mint job of it as well nice clean welds. Also put the motor in too. Still got to do the headers and install the fuel pump by the fuel tank.

Re: Datsun 260c
Lol I was waiting for that, I had to modify the steering column To make it fit as the power steering box sits a lot higher that the non power steering box. Nothing dodgy, not like before.brocky41 wrote:Welded the steering??
