Re:
if the gauge is not enough LD 28s (and I am sure others) ran a sensor with gauge and light senders. Just in case you need a light, but want to keep the gauge.Datto_610 wrote:Running SSS oil pressure gauge which works just don't know how accurate it is haha

re: check engine light.
If you are running efi and the factory ecu (from doner car) then you need a fault code light/check engine light.

Datsunboy will know which pin on the ECU feeds the check engine light.
No biggie to buy a nice LED in a bezel or some such, and hook it up to the ECU.

Good work Greg!
With those sleeves on the strut.. aren't they already welded on? Or did you just grind off the majority of the spring cup and leave a ring to hold the sleeves up? If you can get away with tacking them on without crack testing the whole assembly then sounds like he's being pretty good about it.

Re:
usually a welded collar is enough, he might accept a machined sleeve holding the collar in compression so it can't rotate ? doing the same job as some tac welds ?Datto_610 wrote:Welded new collar to strut to sit sleeve on thought that would be enough... don't need to get it crack tested again well he didn't mention it..

Possibly but 4(per strut) tack welds would be easier and quicker than making a sleeve also my gland nuts have the hex cut off them so won't work like how you did yours.
So the other day I removed the lock ring for the fuel sender and lo and behold no o-ring!! Took some measurements rang Saeco and picked one up yesterday. One more job ticked off the list!
