Can you run a factory bottom hose setup and fitting for the heater hose so you can run them along the strut tower as per original. Just block off the outlet on the bottom hose tube, cut down past the outlet or fit a 1200 one.

Awesome work Wal. Those seat retrim in leather/vinyl and it would be bloody hard to tell the difference between them. Great find

Yeah I think that will be the answer .classicdat wrote:Can you run a factory bottom hose setup and fitting for the heater hose so you can run them along the strut tower as per original. Just block off the outlet on the bottom hose tube, cut down past the outlet or fit a 1200 one.

I got factory hoses off Scotie a year or two back. Not sure if he can do the fitting. But they were reasonably cheap.

Awesome work Wal,
What are you doing for engine management? That temp sensor boss looks like a Link one, so I'm presuming either Link Atom or Megasquirt?

Watching the rugby and got inspired to work on my car , so made a start on the wiring loom scarily I do actually recall what all the wires do , probably be a different story when I do the wires under the dash though.

Trying to keep things moving along , I've had the dash frame sand blasted and got some epoxy and gloss black on it today , tomorrow I should be able to put the dash pad back on it, and re assemble the gauges.
Had some real success with the loom tonight , I got the lights and indicators working , dash lights work , but I think I need the voltage regulator plugged in to get the oil and charge light to go , oh and have power coming down the starter wire when I turn the key.

do the wipers go?
I found one of my bulkhead plugs wasn't pushed all the way home.
I had no wipers, no horn, and no charge. (Light wouldn't go out)
The voltage reg will have zero effect on the crank feed to the starter.
